| Austrian Glückmünzen in different years are often minted in several metals; i.e. Copper, Bronze, Brass, Zinc, Aluminum, Silver, and a few in Gold. Of course not all metals were minted in all years. Some are base metal plated in Silver or Gold. Some (but not all) are marked either on the front, reverse or edge as to the composition especially the plated tokens or Silver or Gold tokens. Some modern examples are made in a Proof finish. |

| Sometimes the front and reverse were custom designed for a customer resulting in a totally unique token, not matching any other token in front or reverse design, or date or even composition. I find these the most interesting and the most challenging to attribute to a manufacturer. |
