The Austrian Artist Hans Köttenstorfer
To the best of my knowledge Hans Köttenstorfer was born in 1911 and died in 1995. At one
time he worked for the Austrian Mint in Vienna or at least contracted designs from them and it
seems obvious that he did freelance work as well. He designed coins, (reverse of the
1960-2001 Austrian 5 Shilling piece for one), quite a number of the Austrian Glückmunzen
(Lucky tokens), numerous Kalendermedaillen (Calender Medals) and many other medals as
well.
